Junkerhaus

Junkerhaus is the name of the two-story timbered house which was built by artist Karl Junker between 1889 and 1891 on the outskirts of the city of Lemgo.

From 1891 until the day of his death in 1912, Karl Junker lived in this house and perpetually continued to work on its interior and exterior design. Junker’s works show – despite all of its individuality – the influences of different ideas and styles of the art of the late 19th century.

The Junkerhaus is a residential house, a studio, artist’s gallery and is to be regarded as a complete work of art.
